First word that comes to mind? "Showy!?" This is the Minnesota state flower (which is protected), and it is the pink and white ladyslipper. We missed out on the peak of the flowers this year, but it was fun to go and find them nonetheless. This particular variety of the ladyslipper is apparently also known as the "Showy Ladyslipper." :)7.05.2010
