I spent Halloween eve at work at the University of Maryland, and since I got there a little early I decided to walk over to the Maryland School of Nursing, and look what I found?! Flo is everywhere!

Lisa, Susan and I took in the Navy vs. Duke football game this afternoon. Although the Midshipmen did not win, it was still a lovely afternoon including men and women in uniform, a marching band, a fly by, cute family units all around us, and good friends to enjoy some college football with. Navy did get their butts handed to them, but it was still fun! GO NAVY!

Today was an exceptionally good day at clinical -- and while talking to Mom on the way home I stopped to take a picture of the pretty fall leaves. It is amazing what a positive attitude can do to your worldview!

I always see this flag out of the corner of my eye while walking to and from school. The curious part is that I have never been able to figure out what is on the opposite side of that wall...hmm.

I was tired of wet feet. Tired enough to buy the last pair of rainboots in my size at Target. They are a fashion statement, to be sure!

They put up helpful new signs at Maryland so that you don't get confused when you come off of the elevators. I especially like this one because Shock Trauma at Maryland is known for their pink scrubs that they wear. :)

Monday morning on my walk to school I saw this loveliness next to one of the bus stops. At what point do you stop, take a little bit of pride in your city, and NOT throw your stuff on the ground? Hmm...gross B'more, simply gross.

Fall has come to Baltimore. Finally. :)

Saddest sign ever. Rita's is closed for the season. (Upside -- good for my waistline?)

I really do dislike it when life gets in the way of my Sugarland addiction -- it's Thursday today and this album came out on Tuesday! (Shameful!) Anyway, just as anyone could have predicted, it's quite fantastic.

Isn't it funny how something as simple as a poem can totally change how you view things in everyday life, such as scaffolding?

Raise your hand if you don't want this job? Oh, and did I mention that this was at 8am during rush hour? I don't know if he was changing the light, or going for the marathon signs up above (I'm guessing B), but either way, I don't think that I would be as calm and collected as he seemed to be.

On Monday nights I have the parking spot, and because of this fact I decided to drive to the gym tonight! It was fantastic. :) I love parking in the whole foods garage and smelling the deliciousness that is whole foods. Although I don't buy much there it is still quite the experience.

Just finished my leg of the marathon relay. :) 7.1 miles for Team Nightengale!

Tomorrow I'll be running in the "Legg Mason" relay. Creative, right?! Haha.

It stinks when you're 26 years old and sick. You have to walk to the grocery yourself and get "sick food."

Nothing like coming home to your roommate and her friend making homemade apple pie. Yes please!

The Peterson cousins! (sans John). It was so great that they were all able to make it to Cassie's big day. :)

Cassie and Drew Cumings-Peterson. 10.09.10. What an amazing day! (It was so hard to pic a "picture of the day" today -- but this one just seemed the most appropriate!)

10.08.2010

10.08.10

Mom and I coordinated nicely even though we didn't plan it! What a happy, happy day -- all together again and rehearsing at Gazebo on the Green in Iowa City, IA for Cassie and Drew's wedding tomorrow! WOOHOO!

10.07.2010

10.07.10

Let the wedding festivities begin! After landing in the Eastern Iowa Airport at 9am today I came to Cassie's apartment to help out with wedding prep. This box may not look like much, but it is actually the result of about 4 hours of work -- but alas all of the names are lined up and ready to go! (Complete with their coordinating leaf for the table questions!)

This man is outside of the School of Nursing rain or shine, and so today I decided to take advantage of his offerings. Not only is he polite, the hot dog wasn't half bad either!

It's not hard to find people supporting the Ravens in this town. They beat the Pittsburgh Steelers today, which is huge -- they are big, big rivals, and the Steelers were leading well into the 4th quarter...at home. However, the Ravens pulled out a few big plays with less than 2 minutes left, and the city as a whole was much happier for it!

Alerting that there would be an increase in traffic due to the festival. I'm glad that I knew that this year, because last year I came home looking for a parking spot and was SOL. :) A beautiful day for the Fells Point Fun Festival!

So, not the reason that I chose this place to get my dress altered...but I think you can see why it was a perk! :)
