When I was leaving the gym today I noticed that a new addition had been made to the Harbor East area -- apparently the Hopkins School of Business is now downtown. They have a pretty location at least!

Hannah and I went down to Fells Point to have some ice cream as an end of the summer celebration. We ate out on the Broadway Pier, and this boat was there....it kind of reminded me of something that you would only see in a movie...kind of cool, but also kind of like a big fog could come and it would just disappear...

The Maryland State Fair! We walked around and looked at the pigs, goats, alpacas, and cows before taking a ride on the ferris wheel and then eating some deep fried goodness. :) What a state fair should be, really...ha!

Top Underrated City? A year ago I may not have believed this, but there are definitely some things about Baltimore that are underrated -- the fun little places to eat, certain neighborhoods, etc. Don't be fooled though, it was only listed as "one" of the top underrated cities....and I don't know out of how many. ;)

So, I stopped up at school after work this morning...and look what new addition has been made to our mailboxes! :) I am already loving not being the new kid on the block this year.

Trying to get myself pumped up for work! I really enjoy my job at Maryland, but these last two weeks have been a little out of control! The little free time that I have had went to helping Dhan Maya deliver. Hannah has been back for a week and a half and I only got to really sit down and talk with her for the first time last night!

Welcome to the world Animesh! All 9 pounds 2.3 ounces of you! We waited for you for a long time, but we are so glad that you are here and that you are healthy. I can't wait for your naming ceremony in about 10 days when we find out what you will be called.

My birth companion Mom Dhan Maya and her husband from Bhutan. This is their second child, but 1st in the U.S. Here she had received the epidural about 3 hours prior and they were trying to catch some sleep. Easier said than done in a hospital.

Brandy is one of my favorite night nurses -- and she will be missed! However, in true MBU (Mother/Baby Unit) fashion -- we had a lot of food to send her off to her new hospital with!

"What's this?" you might ask. Well, let me tell you -- it is Florence Nightingale's wheelchair. Pretty fantastic. I have always seen it but today I bothered to take a better look at what exactly it was. Love that Flo.

This is what exhaustion looks like. It is about 7am, and these two young parents (Birth Companions clients) are at around hour 36 of an induction. Let's hope that this little boy makes his entrance into the world soon!

Our tools for crackin'! :) We went to Nick's Fish House in Federal Hill for our first-time experience with eating Baltimore crabs! They were delicious - but soooo covered in Old Bay...saltiness ensued.

Amish children at play! :) We took a buggy ride in Lancaster, PA and went to the home of an Amish family and on the way back we saw a pick-up game of some form. Love the little Amish kids!

Look who came to Baltimore! :) After a long day of traveling we had dinner at Kooper's in Fells Point, ate some gelato at Pitango and walked back along the water. A good start. :)

Albeit not my best photog skills...but I was a little preoccupied with not floating away! I have never been caught in a flash flood quite like this one, and I am happy to report both that I made it home safely and also that I apparently live on "high ground"...because the water was not nearly as bad by my house. Thank goodness.

Arneson #16. My little cousin Blake, age 7 playing on a summer league hockey team for which he commutes an hour and a half back and forth for games and practices. :) God bless MN and their love for hockey! (Blake did skate really well though, and it was fun to see him play since the last time I saw him play he was 4 years old).

I mean...I'm only slightly embarassed that this is my photo of the day! :) I got REALLY sucked in to this season of "The Bachelorette," and although the guy that I was cheering for didn't win...it was still a good ending. Now well just have to wait and see if they can make it work!

A "new" addition to the School of Nursing...or rather just a new use of an existing building. This will be a new place made specifically for the students to use -- with a kitchen, study rooms, etc...should be nice!
